From Monday 24 August until early November there will be changes to bus routes in the Muswell Hill and Highgate areas because of National Grid Gas works.

The first phase of work will run until 22 September.  These are the changes:

  • No right turn into Muswell Hill Road from Archway Road. Northbound routes 43 towards Friern Barnet and 134 towards North Finchley will be diverted via Archway Road, Great North Road, East Finchley Tube station, Fortis Green and Fortis Green Road.
  • Southbound buses on routes 43 and 134 towards Central London will run as normal via Muswell Hill Road.
  • Customers who normally use the Underground and change onto northbound bus routes 43 or 134 at Highgate may find it easier to change at East Finchley instead – routes 43 and 134 will stop outside East Finchley tube station (stop F) while on diversion.
  • Bus routes 263 and N20 will not serve bus stop H on Archway Road near Highgate Station.

  • Thanks for this, Susie - very useful!  I was actually on the 134 bus on Friday and again on Sunday and did not see anything about future diversions ...
