He's an older cat and currently on Vidalta tablets for his thyroid condition. He needs regular blood tests to make sure the dose of his medications is correct and keeps his thyroid under control. He is currently registered with Celia Hammond vet clinic and could continue to receive treatment with them after adoption (or use your own local vet). He needs to be on a special/plain food diet otherwise his tummy gets upset. He eats Thrive chicken, Royal Canin Chicken and Rice Sensitivity Control and his favourite is Hills A/D tinned food. He's a lovely cat, very laid back and no trouble at all. He sleeps most of the time and is a great companion to watch a movie together.
"Hi there, my name’s Frankie and as you can see I am a handsome lad. I am around 4 years old and have been neutered and microchipped. I am a big lover of feather toys and chilling on the bed, oh and food… especially chicken. I am a little bit shy, but if you give me a chance to settle in and get to know you I have so much love to give.

I was found as a stray, fighting for food and territory with lots of other cats that weren’t wanted and needed neutering and a home, just like me. I was so frightened when I was picked up that I froze with my heart beating ten to the dozen, but my fosterer has won me round with lots of love and plenty of patience too (well, that and the chicken!).

I have already been in temporary foster care for a year and a half and I would love to not have to wait much longer for a permanent home. I would ideally like an adult home, or maybe with older children who will understand that I will need time to settle in. A home with a garden and catflap would be fab. I could live with cats, but no dogs for me thank you. If you have a little room in your heart for me, get in touch as soon as you can."

People say they love black cats....but black cats are the hardest to re home and are the most overlooked cats in the shelters. Please don't overlook Frankie.

Frankie loves playing with feather toys and he loves to chill on his foster carer's bed. He loves his food, especially chicken. Frankie is shy, but he has lots of love to give if you give him a chance.

He was a kitten once, one of those cute fluffy black fur balls making little squeaky noises....he can't remember his mum or his siblings...he found himself on his own fighting for food and territory with other "unwanted" cats. A stray cat's life is rough and sad, needing help. Frankie was terrified when picked up for the first time. He literally froze and his heart was beating fast and loud. Thanks to the patience and love provided by Frankie's foster carer, Frankie became a confident cat.

His ideal forever home would be with someone patient, preferably an adult family, or a family with older children/teenagers, and with access to a back garden. Although Frankie has spent almost a year in temporary foster care as an indoor only cat, he would love a bit of fresh air and rolling on the grass.

People say they love black cats....but black cats are the hardest to re home and are the most overlooked cats in the shelters.
