Palace Gates to Seven Sisters Railway

There's a useful new Walk guide retracing the route of this railway - I didn't realise how many allotments, schools and even Wood Green Shopping City and Library were built on old railway land!  The leaflet is produced by Haringey Federation of Residents Associations and Haringey Friends of Parks Forum, and can be downloaded from the latter (see 4 links at bottom of page); a paper copy is also available from the Friends of Alexandra Park Information Centre (open 11am-1pm on Sundays at this time of year), and other park information centres in the area. Other guides in the series are: Walk Ally Pally to Bruce Castle, and Walk Haringey's Moselle River.

  • We've done the Ally Pally to Bruce Castle walk, and highly recommend it. It was very memorable and inspiring to see so many interesting buildings en route. I recommend starting off with a big coffee at the Yard cafe in Alexandra Palace station!
