We live in one of London’s most diverse boroughs, with a long and proud tradition of being welcoming to all. Our community has welcomed residents from all over the world, many of whom have made considerable contributions to our society.

But being a migrant, refugee, or asylum seeker in Haringey can be tough. The immigration system often prevents migrants from integrating and getting on with their lives; ‘hostile environment’ policies prevent many from accessing essential services; and families entitled to council assistance are being left destitute due to a lack of support.

We are launching the #HaringeyWelcome campaign in response to this situation, and asking Haringey's people, schools, faith groups, community groups, elected representatives, and election candidates to support the launch and sign up to our pledge to make Haringey a more welcoming place that adheres to the values of dignity and respect for all.

Join us at our campaign launch and unite with local residents, volunteers, organisations, schools, faith groups, and elected officials in making our community and council a welcoming place for us all.
