Does anyone know how long the 184 bus is on diversion? There was no information at the stop I use on Alexandra Park Road and nothing on CityMapper or TfL Journey Planner (why not?). Trying to travel the other direction there was no information at the Turnpike Lane stop and the driver didn't mention the diversion until he was at the diversion point. All this made a journey to (and from) a hospital appointment very stressful.

Oh how incredibly frustrating - the service is terrible! No, I don't know anything about it, and can't find anything. Recently I have frequently found problems caused by a bus breaking down, also stopping other buses from getting through, and no info. about it. The best I can suggest is writing to complain at:
https://tfl.gov.uk/help-and-contact/contact-us-about-buses
I am part of a local bus users group, who are trying to get a meeting with TfL reps to suggest changes in the information they provide. Do get in touch if you would like to join! You could send me a private message (envelope icon at top right of page).
But this of course doesn't help with the current problem ...
Answer - Thames Water is digging up the bottom of Palace Gates Road (water leak), and my neighbour says they neglected to tell TfL about it! She says she saw a bus full of passengers stopped there, with the driver trying to find out what he should do!
So Thames Water is mostly to blame - depending on when you were travelling - no doubt TfL then failed to inform passengers ...
Thanks for the information. It might explain why there was no information at 7.30am but not several hours later. Do you know if the work is finished or when it is scheduled to finish? I will complain to TfL
Road is still closed this morning. Paving is being replaced - though nobody working at the moment. My friend said it took 2 days for Tfl to inform users about it.
