I made an enquiry regarding accessibility improvements at Alexandra Palace Station, specifically the proposed installation of lifts.
The Council's head of transportation advised that the Council is working closely with Network Rail and other rail industry partners regarding accessibility improvements at the station.
I stressed the importance of step-free access for passengers with mobility impairments, parents with buggies, people travelling with luggage, and the wider community who use this busy station.
At present, they are awaiting a further update from Network Rail on the next stages of the project. And they expect to receive an update soon and, once this information is available, they'll will be in a better position to advise residents on anticipated timescales and project progress.
We appreciate residents' continued patience and understand the significance of these improvements for the local community.
Please be rest assured that we are working with the relevant teams to ensure that residents are informed well ahead of the project commencement to reduce the disruptions on residents. Thanks.
