Part of the Alexandra Palace footbridge has been flooded. This means that local commuters have to wade through several inches of rainwater on their way in and out of the station. I tweeted Great Northern Rail to request that they attend to this. Their response was to insist that it is the responsibility of Network Rail. However, Network Rail, when pressed, suggested Great Northern 'may be able to help'. Once again, both organisations have behaved shoddily towards the local community. Rather than respond appropriately, they have chosen to demonstrate intransigence. It is clear that, once again, pressure is required from the local community to ensure they fulfil their obligations. Great Northern can be tweeted at @GNRailUK and Network Rail at @NetworkRail.
