Are you passionate about migrant justice? Do you have editing skills and 6-8 hrs a month to spare? Are you interested in learning more about Haringey’s community?
Haringey Welcome are looking for a podcast editor to work collaboratively with its host, Lucy Nabijou and producer, Tanya Harmer to edit monthly podcasts exploring migrant experiences of surviving and resisting the UK’s Hostile Environment immigration policy and those working in our community to oppose it. In short, No Small Victories (now in its second season) is a podcast that explores what a kinder and more hopeful society could look like.
You may yourself have lived experience of the UK immigration system and want to contribute to the Haringey Welcome campaign. Or you may be simply fed up with the way the media and politicians talk about migration, and want to change the conversation.
If you are interested in joining the No Small Victories team, please get in touch with Tanya and Lucy at refugeeswelcomeharingey@gmail.com. Ideally you will already have access to a software subscription or access to a freeware package such as Audacity. This is a volunteering position and we sadly do not have funds at this stage to pay an editor. However, we can provide support with getting to grips with the technical side of the project. Hopefully this could also be a useful opportunity for you and something to add to your CV.
Deadline for applications 17 June.
