A truly historic moment for Alexandra Park Ward, the first ever ward walk in Alexandra Park, for Andy Donald, five years into his role as Chief Executive of Haringey Council.
It was a pleasure to guide him through the ward and bring a wide range of long‑standing local issues directly to his attention together with Cllr Gingell.
We began at Alexandra Park Library, meeting with the Supporters group who continue to champion the library as a vital community space. Before the walk, I liaised with several residents who had previously raised concerns with me and arranged for them to meet us during the walk. I was pleased that they were able to share their concerns including issues on their roads, directly with the Chief Executive. While the Ward walk isn't a time for casework's, I strongly felt that this direct engagement is an important step in strengthening accountability and visibility in our ward.
A successful first ward walk, marking a new level of engagement for Alexandra Park. We now look forward to receiving updates on the many issues raised with the Chief Executive.
