From Alexandra Palace:

From 27 March until 1 July Haringey Highways Team are carrying out essential works to reduce flooding on the road outside the west entrance to the Park and Palace, at the junction between Alexandra Palace Way, Muswell Hill, Park Road and Priory Road.11003181060?profile=RESIZE_400x

The work will be completed in five phases, each with differing degrees of impact, including routes to the Park and Palace, and bus routes.

Traffic in local roads is expected to be impacted throughout and we advise planning your journey to and from the venue in advance. For road users visiting during this timeframe, we advise using the postcode N22 7AU to navigate to our east entrance. Information on alternative transport routes to Alexandra Palace is here

A summary of the work is below. Dates of each phase of work could be subject to change and will be updated accordingly.

  • THIS HAS BEEN REVISED FOR EASTER WEEKEND.

The W3 is running both ways through the park as usual until 6.00 a.m. Tuesday 11th, and traffic can do the same.

Ignore Countdown on the bus stops - this is still saying that the W3 is on diversion.

    • The bus is now running only in the Finsbury Park direction (westwards), and not at all in the Northumberland Park direction (eastwards) until 20th May.  See featured post.

  • Can anyone find the info. on the TfL website about the W3 bus diversions?! Nothing in advance notice of service disruptions? If you try using Journey Planner, it just advises you to walk or cycle, if you can! With no explanation. No info. on bus stops, that I have seen - at least at the very popular Ally Pally Ice Rink bus stop. It's SUCH an important bus route for this neighbourhood, and others.

    • On the route page for W3 it has a status update:

"ALEXANDRA PALACE WAY: From 09:30 Monday 27 March to 18:00 Sunday 02 April, route W3 is on diversion from Wood Green Station/Lordship Lane to Priory Park/Middle Lane via The Broadway, Wood Green High Road, Turnpike Lane and Hornsey High Street due to urban realm works. Buses are not serving stops from The Broadway to Nightingale Lane."

    • Thanks for this. I did look on the route page for the W3 - didn't see this!

Some info. is now available on bus stops.
