The 'Build period' will start on Monday 28 October - Louise Stewart says that "we will ensure that there is minimal disuption to the park during this time".

All of Alexandra Park except the Grove, but including Alexandra Palace Way, will be closed from 8pm on Thursday 31 October until 1pm on Sunday 3 November. The children's playground will be open on the Friday and Saturday until noon. The W3 bus will be diverted during this period from Wood Green station down Wood Green High Road, reconnecting with its usual route at Middle Lane, Crouch End.

The 184 bus will be diverted via Bounds Green road on the Friday at 9.10-10.40pm, and on the Saturday from 8.10-9.40pm. Buckingham Road, part of Station road and Park Avenue will also be closed during this period.

  • Why is it that with such disturbance to those living in these roads (even more so since becoming a two-day event) we "locals" don't get a free or two-fer ticket? Used to be I could at least watch some from a window, but then the display was moved further downhill.  Now it's just a noisy pita.

    Meh.

    Signed, Moaning Minnie

PS Don't Glastonburites get free tix to some big festy every year? meh meh

    • And the event gets longer and longer - last year the park was re-opened early morning on the Sunday, this time it's lunchtime.
