Clyde Road Fox Concerns Update 🦊
I’ve received numerous emails from residents about the increasing fox population on Clyde Road, including reports of foxes entering homes, property damage, excessive noise, fouling, and residents feeling unsafe.
I raised these concerns directly with the Council’s Community Safety. While the Council says its powers to deal with foxes are limited, I have challenged the response and made it clear that this goes beyond a typical urban wildlife issue.
When residents, particularly older residents, tell me they are afraid to leave their homes or open their doors and windows, we need more than just advice. We need practical solutions.
I will continue pushing the Council for action and a coordinated response to address the community safety, public health and wellbeing concerns being raised.
Thank you to everyone who has contacted me. Please continue to share your experiences so I can keep making the case on your behalf.
