Hi all - you may have noticed cameras being temporarily deployed in Durnsford Road, Albert Road and Alexandra Park Road up to Colney Hatch Road this week.
From enquiries made when residents started contacting me about them I learned that they are part of a parking and loading survey carried out by Haringey Council. The survey was to assess whether the introduction of a bus lane on Durnsford Road is viable or not. You may remember from previous communication (spring 2023) that I had asked to investigate if a bus lane of some sort ( full length, one side only , a section only section or timed) could have been a solution to the queues and delays in journey times from Muswell Hill to Bounds Green tube. So this is a very positive progress.
The information recorded by the cameras were: vehicle type, arrival and departure time, location and loading activity.
I have followed up to request confirmation that no plate number was being recorded and what are the plans next with respect to analysing and sharing the data , and will keep you updated on any further information I will receive.

Thanks Alessandra, finding a way to prioritise the three bus routes on Durnsford, Albert and APR, especially on the approach to the traffic lights at Bounds Green tube, would be positive.
Hi all, an update from me on this. I have received confirmation that 1) no plate numbers have been recorded, 2) once the data has been analised conclusions wll be shared with ward Councillors but there is no timescale yet.
