“21st Century Homes”: efficient, sustainable, and good to live in.
This weekend — 21-22 March — there is a free two-day event in the Alexandra Park area for anyone interested in a green approach to refurbishing and improving the energy efficiency of their homes.
On Saturday 21st there is a conference and exhibition at Alexandra Park School, 12.30 till 5.00, with talks by experts on materials and installation, stalls by suppliers, tradespeople, architects, and local voluntary organisations concerned with sustainable building and energy efficiency. It is also an opportunity to talk to local people who have had this kind of work done on their homes, or who have done it themselves. (Entrance to the school is via Rhodes Avenue).
On Sunday 22nd a number of local homes are open to visitors, to show and discuss the improvements that they have made. These visits are by pre-booking only, which can be done online.

This event has been organised by Muswell Hill Sustainability Group, with the support of the Highgate Society, Haringey 40:20 and Palace Gates Residents’ Association.
