The Friends of Hillside Green Space, in Hillside Gardens (at the north end of Tunnel Gardens) are raising funds and offering for sale sturdy, well-rooted plug plants of Viper's Bugloss (blue) and Oxeye Daisy (white - see pics and links).

They're grown in 5" deep cells and as yu can see are rooted right to the bottom. Both great pollinator flowers, which will grow on strongly next year.

They'll aid the bees, butterflies and others that have really suffered n 2024 because of the  heavy rain over the past 18 months. Our part of Haringey lies in the middle of the London North-South 'B-Line', the pollinator corridor established by Buglife, the invertebrate conservation charity. If you're thinking of leaving a small part of your garden as wild, these would be ideal. (Also in the revamped Tambo Park wildlife area)

£3 each, 3 for £7.50

Please PM me if you're interested. Thanks

Hillside Green Space was established last year on a small site to the north of Tunnel Gdns that some lowlife had tried to steal by fencing, laying a concrete raft and claiming ownership!. Local Residents would have none of it and got rid of him. We now have a Community Licence from the owners, Network Rail, to manage the land for wildlife.
