Green Open Homes in Alexandra Park and around - 5th and 11th November

"Booking is now open online for free tours of stylish, low-energy 'green' homes not far from you. On Sunday 5th November and Saturday 11th November meet householders who've improved comfort and cut energy bills, and pick up ideas for your own home.

The bakers' dozen of houses on show in Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Alexandra Park, Highgate and Tottenham include: Edwardian villas, a 1920s former London County Council property, a 1960s semi, a timber-framed 1980s house and the Meadow Orchard Community Garden's cob and straw eco-building.

Tours are free and last one hour - book your place here. 10am, 11am, 2pm or 3pm."
