I've just joined this group thanks to Annabel kindly letting me know.

I live on Victoria Road and have been recently getting interested in community activities and growing food in natural ways.

Some of you may know my wife, Sophie (aka Mrs Papworth!), who is a teacher at Rhodes Avenue.

I'm extremely concerned about the climate crisis and feel it's important to take some action.

My plan is to get to know likeminded locals and invest time in practicing and ediucating myself and others in permaculture.

I'm also interested in finding public spaces where this could be practiced as a community activity (e.g, AP or Rhodes Avenue; fenced off area in Albert Rec with the new pond).

If you are interested or know others who are, please drop me a line.

By the way, if you're interested in permaculture, I highly recommend Permablitz for gaining some hands on experience whilst learning for a good cause.

  • Welcome to APN, Alex! As you know, I am also interested in no-dig gardening - so good for the climate, and much less work than the usual sort! -  and would be very happy to take part in a project such as you suggest.
