Hand sanitizer

Hand sanitizers have become highly prized - literally. But they are easy to make.

To be effective aginst germs they need to contain a minimum 60% alcohol.

So you will need 2 parts of isopropyl alcohol 91%, widely available in chemists as rubbing alcohol (do not use a milder 70% alcohol), mixed with 1 part pure (or 99%) aloe vera gel. You can, if you wish add a few drops of essential oil (no more than 10 drops per 1 cup of the mixture - I use tea tree). That's all. Mix thoroughly and pour into a squeezy bottle. Use.
