Haringey Unearthed is a grants programme delivered as part of Haringey’s London Borough of Culture, supporting artists, collectives and grassroots organisations to create high‑quality cultural projects rooted in local stories, communities and places.

What the programme aims to do
Increase and broaden participation in arts and culture across Haringey
Support creative activity relevant to local people, histories and lived experience
Enable cultural work in non‑traditional and public spaces
Offer opportunities for collaboration, participation and volunteering
Build skills, capacity and ambition among Haringey‑based creatives
Support intergenerational engagement and shared learning
Ensure fair and equitable investment, including targeted support for disadvantaged wards
Programme Themes (projects must meet at least one)
Climate – sustainability, climate action, environmental futures
Rebel Borough – radical histories, social movements, cultures of resistance
Art in Unexpected Places – creative work in surprising locations or partnerships
Health & Wellbeing – isolation, disability, movement, sport, social connection
Cultural Calendar – projects linked to key cultural dates (e.g. Holocaust Memorial Day, LGBTQI+ History Month, International Women’s Day, Pride, Windrush Day, South Asian Heritage Month, Black History Month, UK Disability History Month, major religious festivals)

Voluntary, not‑for‑profit and social enterprise organisations

Sole traders
Projects must be delivered in Haringey or exclusively benefit Haringey residents
Applicants outside the borough must show meaningful engagement with local communities
No retrospective funding
Most projects should be free for Haringey audiences
Grant Levels & Match Funding
Community Grants – up to £700 (no match funding)
Small Grants – £700–£5,000 (no match funding)
Emerging Grants – £5,000–£10,000 (10% match funding)
Legacy Grants – £10,000–£40,000 (20% match funding, minimum 10% cash)
Maximum funding per applicant: £40,000
Fair Pay expected (at least London Living Wage)
In‑kind contributions allowed (volunteer time, donated materials, free space, professional services)
Funding Rounds (2026–2028)
Multiple rounds running from June 2026 to March 2028
Community Grants assessed every three months
Small, Emerging & Legacy Grants follow a two‑tier assessment process
Approx. two months from submission to final decision
