Hi,
Bearing in mind the cost of living/fuel crisis, and thinking ahead to colder months, does anyone have any free to moderately priced / easy to install insulation hacks they can suggest to reduce bills for Victorian/Edwardian properties?
Window shutters are presumably pricey, but I'd be interested to know if they provide effective insulation?
Any recommendations kindly received.
Thanks!
Lucy

You can get quite a lot of useful advice from the Muswell Hill Sustainability Group website. https://mhsgroup.org/energy-upgrade-for-homes/ is the bit for insulation and so on, but there are also a lot more topics covered . They also have a Youtube channel which has a number of webinars with specialists on insulation, heating, solar electricity etc. at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC48FTt00SiM6mjxkapar0SQ. If you sign up to their newsletter on the website you can get notifications on draught-proofing advice workshops, open-homes days to talk to people who've already done stuff (this is generally in the autumn) and other things.
