Bumped into these members of the John O'Connor maintenance team in Alexandra Park as they were doing a morning round of rubbish collecting. They explained that in June alone, an unbelievable 15 TONNES of rubbish was left in the park by visitors. We've all seen it overflowing near bins and left scattered across the grass. Their message - please please take your rubbish home with you.
