  • Thanks for this, Basil. Incredible that the NLWA did indeed decide to go ahead with this huge new plant without pause, in spite of a hard-hitting report by the all-party parliamentary group on air pollution a couple of days ago which called for a halt to the expansion of all new waste incineration plants (there are several in the pipeline), to protect human health and reduce carbon emissions.

    There is massive opposition to the rebuild of the incinerator in Edmonton from many local groups, for both of the above reasons.
