New Events Page

At long last, a designated Events page will shortly be available, which – wait for it – actually lists events in the order of event date! When you post an event, it will prompt you for date and time of event. The layout will be familiar to users of some local websites such as Bowes&Bounds and Harringay Online, but our more recent website had to use ‘updated’ version 3 software which did not, until now, have this feature available.

The new events page is now up and running. The events on the old page have not been copied over to it, but you can still link to them from the Events Calendar (which also has the newly added events).

The new page is very easy to use - it will prompt you for date, time and location of the event, and you can add an image and a description. It also asks you to 'invite' people, which you can skip!

To add a post - click on +Add new Post at top right (if it is not there, you are not signed in - see link at top of page); fill in the details, then click on black button below.

To later edit it, click on the post header to display it, then on +Edit at top right.

If you wish to give somebody your contact details, you may prefer to do so by personal message (click on little envelope at top of page, then on +Compose) rather than putting it in a post which is visible to everyone.
