You may have heard about the event on Sunday 5 July - marking the 72nd birthday of the NHS - being co-ordinated by the /Together campaign to thank the NHS and everyone else who has helped during the crisis.
It starts during the week before - when you or your children can download one of the posters to colour in from the /Together website, write on it who you would like to thank (could be a person, group or an institution) and display it in your window.
Then on July 4th, put a light in your window to remember those we have lost. National landmarks will also be lit up as part of our collective memorial.
On July 5th, after perhaps having tea and cake, join in a communal clap at 5pm, raising a glass, mug or cuppa to thank each other – our friends, family and neighbours – for looking out for us, helping the vulnerable, or simply doing the right thing and staying at home. Could be outside your house, or join some of us gathering on the Palace Gates Triangle - maintaining social distance, of course - at 4.45pm. Bring along any posters that members of your family have coloured in, and we can hold them up for all to see!
The lovely colouring-in poster below is incredibly large on the /together website - here is a smaller one:

TODAY. Join us at 4.45pm on the Palace Gates Triangle, or outside your home at 5pm for lots of clapping and perhaps banging of pots and pans!
