A series of pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be starting from today (Saturday 13 March) as part of ongoing efforts to increase take-up of the vaccine in Haringey.
The pop-ups are open to people aged 50 and over, and those with an underlying health condition such as diabetes, who have not had their first vaccine or do not already have an upcoming appointment.
The following clinics are confirmed to take place:

It is a walk-in service, so people can drop in on the day without pre-booking. Attendees will be asked for identification so that they can be logged on the system and invited for their second vaccination at a later date.

Update on COVID tests
Covid vaccination drop in:
The *drop-in vaccination session* will be from *2pm to 6pm this Saturday at Bounds Green* general practice, Gordon Road, N11 2PF.
The vaccination clinic will be for *people aged over 40* and we would ask everyone to respect this criteria. The session is particularly valuable for people who are struggling with the appointment process, are working during normal hours and can’t get there or may not be registered with the NHS.
As an important principle, people have the right to access primary care, and vaccinations, regardless of their legal status. So if there are people living in Haringey who are hesitant about coming to be vaccinated, and aren’t registered with a GP, please encourage them to come to this session.

you're aged 42 or over you'll turn 42 before 1 July 2021
In case it's relevant and you haven't yet seen, the vaccine eligibility on the NHS website is now for 44 year olds and 43 year olds who turn 44 before July 1st.

The clinics, set up by the local NHS in partnership with community organisations, is open to people aged 50 and over and those with an underlying health condition such as diabetes, who have not had their first vaccine.
It is a walk-in service, so people can drop in on the day without pre-booking. You will need to bring a form of identification so that you can be logged on the system and be invited for your second vaccination at a later date.
Everyone is entitled to primary care regardless of their immigration status in the country. Residents over 50 years of age who are not registered with a GP or have previously declined the vaccine are also welcome to attend the clinics.
You will need to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing rules. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.

I also wanted to provide an update from Dr Will Maimaris - Haringey's Director of Public Health with regards to people without a NHS number or unable to obtain one:

People do not require an NHS number to receive a COVID vaccination, and should never be denied one on this basis.
If someone does not have an NHS number when they go for an appointment, but is within an eligible group, services should vaccinate now, record locally via a paper-based system, and ensure vaccination is formally documented as soon as possible after the vaccination has been administered.
At their appointment an individual will be asked some questions about their medical history, including if they have ever had a severe allergic reaction. They will also be asked for their booking reference number. However, because there is no charge for the vaccine for people living in the UK, the immigration status of a patient is not relevant and therefore no proof of residence is required, and there is no requirement to report anyone to the Home Office.
The General Practice COVID-19 vaccination programme 2020/21 Enhanced Service Specification (the contract that general practices will deliver COVID-19 Vaccination under) enables practices working within their Primary Care Network (PCN) groupings from shared vaccination sites to vaccinate unregistered patients provided they are eligible for a vaccination e.g. within an eligible cohort, and the PCN grouping will receive payment for this.
In practice, to get an appointment the best step for residents who do not have an NHS number is to approach a local GP practice and register signalling they need a COVID vaccination.
The local NHS is also arranging a series of drop in sessions, and the next ones are set out below

These ‘open’ vaccination events, though defined by age, provide a means for people to get their first vaccination who may have had difficulty with the appointment process or would be more comfortable in a particular cultural or religious setting. As an important point, though we will ask for identification to log someone on the system, people are entitled to primary care regardless of their legal status in the country.
There is also outreach work into homeless and asylum seeker accommodation to provide vaccination across Haringey and other local boroughs.
