Great news! Alexandra Park Wetland Creation Project has been awarded £50k from the Mayor of London's Rewild London fund to create a wetland reed bed and increase species diversity, with particular emphasis on birds, invertebrates and amphibians.

This Wetland Creation project covers the Conservation Area and wetlands adjacent to the reservoirs. Various groups are involved in this community-led initiative.

This development follows on from an exploratory study of the site in 2022, with funding from the same source: https://www.alexandrapalace.com/blog/rewilding-project-comes-to-ally-pally/

Does anyone know what has happened about the campaign to include the filter beds in the scheme?
