Next Monday 25th September, Haringey Council are due to sign an agreement with the controversial developer LendLease to put all their public assets into a joint company - the Haringey Deveopment Vehicle. This very risky venture is likely to impact most on those in social housing, and the StopHDV campaign are organising a protest march - from Tottenham Green to Finsbury Park - at noon on the previous Saturday. Social housing tenants that have been suffering from social cleansing elsewhere in London have also been invited to join the protest. It seems that LendLease were twice stopped from using flammable cladding similar to that used on Grenfell Tower on buildings in Australia, where there are stricter fire regulations than in the UK.

StopHDV's legal challenge to the Council's decision will be heard at the High Court on 25 and 26 October - both the leave to appeal the decision, and if this is granted, the hearing of the case itself. The issues they are particularly concerned about are listed on their website,
