We had a very pleasant evening on Wednesday at the summer social, and it was great to meet familiar and new people there. The necessary business of the AGM was conducted briefly and briskly, and consisted mainly of the mandatory presentation of the accounts - which are fairly healthy. Apart from that we drank some excellent wine and talked about all sorts of things including how to organise street parties, discover facts of local history, help plants to survive dry weather, and posting online discussions. I was astonished to end up completely soaked on the way home. Many thanks to all who came. It was nice to see you.
