We've done it! We made the Triangle tree bench yesterday and planted around the base today.
Tytti did a lovely video here of bench-making yesterday (you should be able to see even if you're not on Instagram).
If you've donated, you should have seen from the GoFundMe that we raised the perfect amount - thank you all!
Huge thanks to all who helped out yesterday. A lovely flow of people throughout the day, with particular thanks to John Harper and Tytti Matilla, who were there all day! Also Dan for great work on the lip/trim at the end of the day, but everyone (you know who you are) who came and chipped in, sawed, drilled, sanded, helped, brough coffee and moral support!
All that remains now is to celebrate, so do join us today (Sunday 24th September) from 4pm to celebrate a really brilliant community effort. It's your celebration, and your bench, so do come along if you can. Bring a bottle (and a bottom!) and anything else you fancy.
