There has been a councillor briefing during the week about the extension of the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) in Haringey so I thought it may be useful to mention it here.
On 25th October ULEZ will be expanding up to, but not including, the North and South Circular Road. This means that vehicles driving anywhere within the zone will need to meet emission standards or pay £12.50/day to drive in the area. The emission standards are Euro 4 for petrol vehicles, Euro 6 for diesel vehicles and Euro 3 for motorcycles. ULEZ will be in operations 24 hours a day expect for Christmas day. There is also a scrappage scheme to support those claiming benefits.
There will be a network of cameras that would recognise number plates and check against a database of registered vehicles and signage will be updated starting from August.
You can find more information and check if a vehicles meet the standards on the Transport for London website https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra-low-emission-zone/ulez-expansion, or drop a message and get in touch.
