Thank you to everyone who has been in touch regarding the ongoing low water pressure and intermittent supply issues affecting parts of Alexandra Park Road and the surrounding area.
We have been in contact with the Council's Emergency Planning Team, who have been liaising directly with Thames Water. Thames Water has advised that it is currently investigating whether the issues being experienced locally are linked to the major burst water main and repair works in the Crouch End area. At this stage, they have not confirmed a direct connection and are carrying out further diagnostics.
Thames Water has informed the Council that residents experiencing low pressure or loss of supply should continue to report issues directly to them. The more reports they receive, the clearer the picture they will have of the extent of the problem and the support required. Thames Water has also advised that it will be sending a team to the area today to test water pressure levels as part of its investigation.
I have also spoken with a vulnerable resident on Thames Water's Priority Services Register, who has confirmed that Thames Water has contacted her and arranged a delivery of bottled water. Any residents who may be eligible for the Priority Services Register are encouraged to contact Thames Water directly.
For residents who are unable to shower at home due to the ongoing disruption, the Council has advised that access can be arranged to Park Road Leisure Centre. If you believe you require this support, please contact me with your name, contact and address and I will ensure the details are passed to the Council's Emergency Planning Team.
Unfortunately, Thames Water has not yet been able to provide a timescale for when the issue will be fully resolved. I appreciate how frustrating this situation is, particularly for residents living in upper-floor properties and for vulnerable residents who rely on a consistent water supply.
Please continue to report any issues directly to Thames Water and keep us informed of any significant changes. We will continue to press for answers and will share further updates as they become available.
