  •  Colin mentions the changes that have taken place in the part of New Southgate where the party was. You can see how much it's changed from maps in 1936 and now, but also a map from just before the First World War also show it changed a huge amount in the '20s and 30s - in the early map the streets Colin talks about were already there but north and across the railway is lots of open country which was devloped over in between then and the Second War.
