I was so impressed by Veolia and Haringey council this morning that I felt everyone should know. During the night someone (I feel like using an expletive here!) walked down our short road and pulled over the dustbins which - in most cases - scattered the rubbish onto the pavement. When I went out at 8am there were about 5 bins lying across the pavement and pedestrians were having to walk around them. Before 9am I used the 'My Haringey' app to inform Haringey of the rubbish and by 10.15am one of their vans was picking up what remained - wow!
The 'My Haringey' app is good and I recommend uploading it - you just go to the App Store. I frequently use it when I see grafitti locally. I don't work for the council and am just a local resident but I've always had a good experience with rubbish and other collections. And they work on Bank Holidays!
PS I've just discovered there's a Haringey Libraries app too - v. handy.

I saw the mess on the way to the station and wondered if this is what had happened. Thank you for reporting it and glad to see that it was dealt with so promptly.
Thanks also for the tip about the app. There is also a one called Haringey Notiz which shows current planning proposals in the area. Handy if you want to find out what might be happening when some scaffolding goes up!
