After my monthly advice surgery at Alexandra Park Library this afternoon, I visited a number of locations in the ward to check on progress with issues residents had brought to me, which I had raised with the relevant teams.
Rhodes Avenue:
A local resident and parent at Rhodes Avenue Primary School, told me about sunken tarmac around a manhole. Emergency carriageway repair works have now started and will continue until 23 October.
Rosebery Road EV Charging Point:
The council says the fault is with the power supply to the street lighting column, which isn’t suitable for EV charging. The streetlight itself has been fixed, but further electrical works are needed before the charger can work again. The Street Lighting Team is working with @char.gy on a permanent solution. I know the loss of a usable charging bay has been frustrating, and I’ll keep pressing for progress.
I also spotted a number of other issues while out and about, which I will promptly raise with the relevant teams.
Please keep reporting problems to your local councillors. It makes a real difference.
My advice surgery is held on the 2nd Saturday of every month, 1pm to 2pm, at Alexandra Park Library. Hope to see you soon!
