Well done Sunshine Garden Centre!

Our local garden centre is one of only three big retailers in Haringey who sell only peat-free brands of compost, as revealed in a local Friends of the Earth survey. Peat is a great carbon sink, but digging it up releases this carbon and adds to climate change, says Quentin Given, in his letter headed For Peat's Sake, in the June edition of Haringey Community Press (free paper copies available from local stations and similar venues, also available for delivery, at a small cost, monthly).
