Canadian jazz pianist Sean Fyfe emerges as a distinguished artist with an impressive international footprint, having graced stages in New York and Montreal. Noteworthy for his collaborative work on acclaimed recordings such as 'In This Moment' (2022) and 'Opening Statement' (2017) with Sam Kirmayer, as well as 'Conduit' (2014) featuring Azar Lawrence with Al McLean, Fyfe recently marked his second record as a bandleader with ‘Stepping Stones’ (2024), following his debut album 'Late Night' (2022).
A product of the esteemed Manhattan School of Music and McGill University, Fyfe refined his skills under the mentorship of pianists Jeremy Manasia, Garry Dial, Andre White, and Joshua Rager. His performances have left an indelible mark on iconic venues like Smalls, Mezzrow, Pizza Express and Ronnie Scott’s.
Fyfe's collaborative endeavors span continents, featuring partnerships with acclaimed musicians such as Jon Gordon, Greg Abate, Alex Claffy, Joe Farnsworth, Alan Barnes, Dave O’Higgins, Quentin Collins and Alex Garnett. Grounded in the traditions of jazz luminaries like Bill Evans, Bobby Timmons, Wynton Kelly, and Cedar Walton, Fyfe's artistry resonates with a profound appreciation for the genre's heritage.

🎲 Geekstraveganza is an informal gathering to play board/card games while socialising and enjoying delicious vegan food! We will have a selection of our favourites, and you're welcome to bring any game you want to play.
🤓 Our regulars are always happy to teach rules to newcomers, and the hosts can introduce you to other attendees if you like. Everyone is welcome, no matter your level of “geekiness”: quick & easy games will be on offer as well as more complex ones. Feel free to join us at any time, since new games will start as people arrive.
🚉 The closest stations are Wood Green and Alexandra Palace.
➡️ Once inside the venue, head for the room behind the bar and you can't miss us (although we often use some tables in the main restaurant area as well). Look for the hosts if you want to be introduced to the group or would like a suggestion for which games to play.
🤤 The venue has a 100% vegan kitchen and bar. They're kindly hosting us for free, so please make sure to buy some of their delicious food and drinks to show your support. Don't miss Kath & Roger's legendary (and huge!) Sunday roast with all the trimmings.
♿️ The entrance to the venue is step-free and there is a wheelchair-accessible toilet.
🐶 The venue is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friends if they'll enjoy it.
