Wild Wolf Explorer Scout Unit's Community Fireworks Display

This is one of London's best community and family orientated fireworks display event run by the Explorers of Wild Wolf ESU, attracting over 4.5 THOUSAND people every year!


 

This annual family-friendly firework displays and bonfire draws crowds from all over North London. With a variety of food stalls from Norwegian waffles to a barbecue, handmade falafel wraps to an impressive array of sweet treats, there really is something for everyone. Not to mention marshmallow toasting on a bonfire, and, of course, the main events: the fireworks! 

The event will take place on the 3rd of November 2018. This year has brought about a number of changes to the timings of our fireworks display with a Low-Noise Display at 5:30pm, followed by our Feature Display at the later time of 8:00pm.     HI Albert - I have checked with the leaders who are organising this year's display and let them know about your question. Here is their response:

    Hi, Thanks for your enquiry. There were a number of factors that contributed to the issue you have addressed, many outside of the control of Wild Wolf ESU, but please rest assured we have taken further steps to ensure we don't disappoint our loyal customers again. The viewing experienced was compromised last year because a management decision was made and actions taken in an attempt to cause minimal distress as a result of the loud pyrotechnics. Our Event Manager has personally been to the suppliers, along with our pyrotechnician to ensure the suitability of the fireworks for our Low-Noise Display this year. In addition to this we will be installing sound baffles around the launch site to deflect the sound away from the viewing area. We have increased the variety of pyrotechnics as well as addressing the sound levels too. We are still marketing the Low-Noise Display towards Under 6's and those with Sensory Needs but we can accommodate anyone at either show. I hope this helps to reassure you and you can come along with your children again this year. Finally we will have a limited stock of ear plugs made available at the info tent. As with previous years we are still reliant on external suppliers to facilitate our aim but we have put in the additional control measures this year.- Phil Cooper (Deputy Event Manager)

    Hello , will the low-nise fireworks be tested this year? Last year's accidentally were the full noise ones and things came to am abrupt end with a few scared toddlers!

    What a good idea to have a low-noise display as well as the feature display this year.

Em Power fitness classes – Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings in OR Tambo Rec, 9-9.30am (term time only). The main focus is on core and legs.

Bowes Park Community Choir - Thursday evenings during term time at Bounds Green School, 7.15-9.15pm.

Life drawing sessions – alternate Saturday mornings at Rhodes Avenue Primary School, 10-12pm.

Zumba and fitness classes – Zumba is on Wednesday evenings, 7-7.50pm. All classes are at Bounds Green Bowls and Tennis Club, Goring road N11.

Salsa Wednesdays – Wednesday evenings at Bounds Green School, Bounds Green Road N11 2QG, 7-8pm. 

V&J Ensemble: Vocal group for ALL Singers on Wednesdays at St. Andrew's Church, Alexandra Park Road N10 (corner of Windermere Road), 6.50-8.30pm.

Enjoy your painting – Thursdays at CUFOS Community Centre (the old railway station), Top of The Avenue N10, 10-12.30pm or 1.30-4pm.

 

All Good Bookshop has many regular events - book groups of course, also music, writing, yoga - and special events .... at 35 Turunpike Lane.

Many Music and Art events are held at Karamel, including Collage Kids performance events on Saturday mornings at 11.30am. At 4 Coburg Road, Wood Green N22 6UJ.
