  • May 20, 2018 from 11:00am to 4:30pm
  • Location: Alexandra Palace Garden Centre, Alexandra Palace Way, London, N22 7BB
  • Latest Activity: May 1

As part of the World Bee Day celebrations, Alexandra Palace Garden Centre, your local Capital Gardens store, will be hosting a Bee Keeping Fair buzzing with talks and demonstrations by the experts from the North London Beekeepers.

A day out for all the family - visitors will enjoy the experience of seeing a real Observation Hive with live bees, a traditional beehive which was used until the 1840s, as well as a model modern hive.

Child-sized beekeeping suits will also be available for children wishing to dabble in beekeeping!

There will also be beautiful bee-friendly plants on sale at prices that won’t sting, with expert garden centre staff on hand to advise on attracting pollinators into your garden and on bee-friendly gardening methods.

There will be a new honey-based menu of home-made cakes and salads in the garden centre's popular Glasshouse Cafe.

Capital Gardens is a proud sponsor of The North London Beekeepers.
