Urgent message from Louise Stewart, Chief Executive of Alexandra Palace:

As a charity we rely on a mix of self-generated income from onsite activities, an annual grant from Haringey Council, and donations. 100% of the money we make through our events and trading goes back into the charity, to support free or subsidised access to the Park and Palace and help us repair and maintain these assets.

Our commitment to care for the Park and Palace has not changed, but our income has fallen drastically due to the coronavirus pandemic.

To be blunt, the charity is forecasting a funding gap of £1m this year, and – unless the outlook changes – around £1m next year too.

Your support will help - please donate whatever you can

We know that these are difficult times for many, and many households are struggling with finances. But if you can afford to make a donation towards the upkeep of the park, your support will be more appreciated than ever.

Anything you can afford – of any amount, whether a one-off or regular gift – will help maintain the park during this crisis and put us in a better place to come out the other side.

Alexandra Park is a haven for nature in north London. It is also a place where people can benefit their physical and mental wellbeing. And those seem like really important things to hold onto at this time.

Please keep safe and well.

Louise Stewart

  • It is worrying to think just how many events at Ally Pally have had to be cancelled due to COVID-19. Each of these represents vital income lost to the Palace and Park for good. We need to support this fundraising campaign so that the Palace and Park are still there for us when we come out the other side.
