Just been to the library, and it was absolutely JUMPING! Full to the brim with parents and toddlers at one end (there didn't seem to be an event), and APS students at the other - studying (quietly) or playing chess with huge chess pieces (well, I think it was breaktime). A big notice said something like 'please leave room for the Seniors' coffee morning at 12pm' - they may well have problems fitting in. Great to see that it's so popular.

We're so lucky to have such a well-used community resource in our midst. Sometimes I just go in for a quick read of the papers. I've recently joined the library supporters group (SAPL), partly because I know they run imaginative schemes and competitions to encourage kids to read over the summer holidays. I'd like my son to join in this year.
