Ancient Oak Copse in Danger of Demolition

Dear Alexandra Park

There is very great danger of a private developer obtaining permission to remove 5 Oak trees on a site to enable a redevelopment to go ahead on originally council owned land in Bounds Green.

The trees have been in existence in our part of north London for over 120 years and deserve to be treated better and with more deference.

THEY REMIND US OF THE FIELDS BENEATH OUR STREETS.

The maps below show the history of the copse and the trees.

The copse was once part of Blue Bell Wood, one of the 4 Ancient Woods in Haringey and therefore of historical importance, they are now located in the rear gardens of Tunnel Gardens, Bounds Green.

We think it imperative the council considers placing a Tree Preservation Order on the trees to allow their continued existence for future generations and any development take note accordingly.

I've tried several times over the last 3 days to comment on this planning application. But when I press the 'comment on application button' absolutely nothing happens. I wonder if this has stopped other people from commenting too.
