Thank you all for your heart warming messages, cards, donations, love and support for Dave Chu who was seriously ill in hospital with COVID-19.

Dave ran the hardware shop in Ally Pally for over 35 years until contracting the virus.

In total you also generously gave £1200 which went towards a Fortnum and Mason Christmas Hamper, £930 of John Lewis vouchers, puzzles and word books to help Dave after the strokes he has subsequently suffered. Not forgetting of course the bottle of Pimms bought from Crescent Supermarket to also thank Turgay the owner for helping to facilitate the card signing and collection etc. He also loves the CD which was given to him by Paul from the Boneshaker Band, Balance in motion, check it out, it sounds really good. https://theboneshakerband.co.uk/8277358286?profile=RESIZE_400x

The good news is that David is slowly improving after 5 months in hospital. He still has regular hospital visits during the week but is at home with his wife Judy. He is hoping that next year he will be able to sell Christmas trees in Ally Pally triangle near his old shop so we will let you know whether this is happening nearer the time. For this year he will be going to visit his son over the Christmas period.

Thank you so much again. I know Dave and Judy were blown away by your overwhelming kindness.

  •  Wonderful to hear such positive news about David, thank you!

  • This is wonderful to hear, and particularly lovely to see Dave and Judy together at home. I am already excited about Dave's plans to sell christmas trees on the Triangle next year. My son and I had such a good time buying last year's tree from Dave (it was a real beauty and a bargain to boot).
