Coppetts Wood is the large area of woodland above the Colney Hatch Lane Tescos. The area was originally the companion sewage works to Pinkham Way, and since 1997 has been a designated Local Nature Reserve of c 16 hectares, with a large area of ancient oak woodland at its centre, where this very enjoyable festival is held.

For some 30 years, Coppetts/Glebelands has been gradually restored by a small group of volunteers, led by the extraordinary Ollie Natelson, whose work led to an Observer Unsung Hero award a couple of years ago. The work continues.

If you don't know Coppetts Wood, it's a lovely peaceful site and very well worth a visit.

Stalls, food and music.

Access either from Colney Hatch Lane or  via the left turn halfway down the road to the Summers Lane Recycling Centre, whose postcode is N12 0RF.

    • Here's a picture of the Spring Festival last year - it really is a magical place.

  • Thanks for this. I've never visited (and honestly wasn't really aware of its existence), it sounds wonderful!
