The public consultation regarding the proposed Colney Hatch Lane junctions safety improvements, is now underway. Those local to the junctions (Colney Hatch Lane, Alexandra Park Road) may have received a letter and plan through the door. If not, please see the first document on the attached link.
Haringey Council and TfL have worked hard to find a viable solution following extensive remodelling studies. We have worked with them to ensure that improved pedestrian safety is the key priority. If you could support us by responding to the consultation, we would very much appreciate it.
The deadline for the consultation is no later than Wednesday 22nd July 2015. Feedback should be sent to Frontline.consultation@haringey.gov.uk.
Thanks

The pedestrian crossings look pretty good. Direct crossings are so much better than two-stage crossings with 'cattle pen' railings! I'll definitely write in support of this.
I am however a bit concerned about the proposed refuge island on Ally Park Road. If it's anything like the road narrowings further down Ally Park Road it will present an added danger to people on bikes, in particular to those moving more slowly uphill. Some drivers simply refuse to wait behind until it's safe to overtake and just squeeze past regardless, so any narrowings should be designed to minimise/remove any bike/vehicle conflict by providing protected space for cycling.
Cheers
