Proposed demolition of house on Maidstone Road

I saw this in Bounds Green earlier today. The new owner of the house on the left is to planning to demolish it and replace it with a number of flats. For further details go to Haringey Council's planning website:

I was told about this yesterday, and drove past the house. It's in a line of similar properties. Even simply driving past, I could see that the insertion of these two blocks would be completely unsuitable.

The right hand picture in the poster above shows the outline of the existing house superimposed on the proposed blocks.
