Eyesore on Park Avenue

I'm not sure whether this falls within the area covered by this community but for the last 2 years (a friend living nearby doesn't know) I've been wondering why on earth the massive eyesore at the top of Park Ave is allowed to continue, the mess of earthworks, old cars, tin cans visible for all to see and no sign of any progress. Surely the Council should be instructing the owners to clear it up.

Any one have info information?

  • Roslyn I don't have any information about this but can you share a photo of the eyesore? Hopefully local councillors are aware of the mess you describe.

    • Here are Roslyn's pictures (5 of them) of the eyesore on Park Avenue:31094263083?profile=RESIZE_400x

    • Hi Roslyn, you say that this has been like it for a long time - maybe they have run out of money? Or can't get planning permission?

    • I got this reply from our local councillor but I asked him how it is that they didn't seem  to know about this HMO, eyesore and dangerous wall!

Thank you for your enquiry. I have made further checks and can confirm that this property is a HMO. I have contacted the owner today and served a Community Protection Warning via email,  requesting  he removes all waste and the abandoned vehicle from the front garden, makes the broken wall safe immediately, and carries out the necessary repairs. I have also instructed him to ensure that he has appropriate measures in place with his tenants regarding disposal of waste.

      Kind regards
