Please try to spare the time to attend the council's air quality workshop at the Civic Centre tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon (from 17:15). This should be of the highest importance to parents, particularly those of you with children at local schools on or near main roads. The plans currently seem to be focussed mainly on getting people to drive electric cars (to reduce NO2 pollution), rather than enabling people to make more of their journeys by methods other than the car (which would also reduce NO2, and also particulate pollution, inactivity, congestion, road danger, community disconnect, etc.). These events really haven't been well advertised, I went to one last week and it was not at all well attended. Really important to get there and make your views known. • Just a reminder of why enabling journeys by more space efficient modes is important for everyone, including drivers...

  • This workshop is TODAY

    • It is indeed. Are you going?

    • No, I was unfortunately out at Kingsbury all afternoon.

  • Grant thank you for spreading the word but as you say, they've not been well advertised which is a shame because this is such a vital issue. I'm really sorry I won't be able to come but will see if there are any others I can attend.
