It was decided by the Council on Thursday, not only to move a third of their pension funds to low-carbon investments, but to review annually the opportunities for them to divest further funds from fossil fuels. Apart from the purpose of reducing climate change, it was pointed out that fossil fuels were becoming increasingly unreliable for investments. The Council is the first in the UK to make such a move - well done Haringey Council!

This is great news, and I hope many other councils follow suit.
