Dear all, is the time of the year where I ask you for inputs about roads, pavements and lights that need intervention in the ward. This is something ward Councillors are asked every year. Once we provide the list to Haringey Council officers will review the location and assign a priority depending on the severity of the condition and available budget across the whole Borough. Because of this not everything will get done unfortunately, but over the years there's been several repairs that have been carried out even if had to be submitted more than once.
I would appreciate any suggestions by Monday 6th October so I can then collate them and put these forward as a submission for Alexandra Park ward.
As a reminder, the Highways Works Plan submission can include any of the issues listed below:
- Paving that needs replacing
- Carriageway that needs resurfacing
- Street lights that need upgrading
- Railings/bollards that need replacing/fixing/painting
- Drains causing non-urgent problems
- Signage problems
- Repainting of road markings
- Other issues related to the public realm/highway such as accessibility issues for those with visual or mobility impairment
I am also keen to hear of any other suggestions you may have for improving the footway/highway, especially in regards to safety, such as requests for new crossing points or changes, loading/disabled bays, increase/decrease of pavement/road/parking bay widths etc. I will then also submit these for the council to review too.
Please include exact locations (e.g. nearest address/stretch of addresses, local landmark etc), a brief description of the work needed, as well as photos of the issue that needs resolving where possible.
Thank you!!
