A friend of mine lives in a one bedroom flat with her two-year old son. For the last two years she has wanted to move away from London to be nearer her parents and find a place with an extra bedroom and some outdoor space for her child. However, because the block she lives in has inflammable cladding, like so many other leaseholders she cannot move.
Cladding and fire safety certification issues mean she is unable to sell her flat and could be liable for tens of thousands of pounds worth of remediation work to fix the flammable cladding. This would bankrupt many in her situation, and is due to inadequate fire safety standards when building flats over many years.
I recognise there are many urgent issues needing attention, but if you can find a moment to sign the petition, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Signed and shared. It's disgraceful that anyone should be put into this position, and that since Grenfell dangerous cladding still hasn't been replaced, and costs covered by central Govt.
That is despicable. Signed!
